Local MxG Events

One tradition among games of this type which will directly effect Port Angeles and the surrounding area, is the Fan Convention. Many thousands of fans and their families get together at these conventions to socialize, see exhibits, and attend events related to the game.

We are planning to host two conventions each year on either side of Port Angeles natural tourism season. We will coordinate these events with local hotels, motels, and bed & breakfast establishments to ensure that they occur before these establishments tend to be booked and then again after they tend to empty out.

We will also be working with our supporters in the local business community to supply much of the needed entertainment, facilities, decor, security, food and refreshments for these events. In this way we will extend the area's tourism season by about a month on either side of the calender, and bolster the local economy.

Sister Schools Program

Our favorite of our post release marketing strategies consists of regularly sponsored contests for students, highlighting technical and creative prowess.

In addition to flashy prizes, winning students will be awarded a scholarship for themselves and a donation to their school. Schools with the highest number of winning students will be awarded a computer lab or other needed improvement both at their location and at a less privileged "sister" school.

This program will enable us to be advertised by the schools participating in the contest, generate an exciting publicity event each time we hold school improvement unveiling parties at sister schools, and will help us to develop public goodwill through the recognition of excellence in the youth and reinvesting in public education.

While these contests will not be exclusively for Port Angeles schools, we hope that area schools will help us to launch and spread this program throughout the country.
